It gives me immense joy to share this next post with you. The Milgayi team launches a new series called “Shop Talk”. On occasion, we will bring you a brief description and captivating images of alluring stores (primarily Indian) around the globe. Our first store in this category is that of talented fashion designer Rohit Bal at the Emporio Mall in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. So much has already been said and written about this amazingly beautiful and thought-out store that it is difficult to find new words to describe it.
This store evokes a grandiose retail experience unlike any other. Elements like the lotus motif which is seen in much of Rohit Bal`s works has been the focal point of décor in the store and is translated in various forms in the store. The floors, the gold jali screens, the brass pillars and the minimalist look of the store add a touch of royalty to this retail space. The store was designed to keep the women’s wear exclusive from men’s wear through a salon area. If I was visiting this store, I would be admiring the decor rather than checking out the clothes! Wow, way to go Rohit!!
